Today in Brazil we have the privilege of being countrymen and contemporaries of hundreds of indigenous peoples. Of witnessing through their eyes, their struggles and their cultures what is perhaps the greatest example of resistance that humanity has ever known. This resistance is materialized in art and crafts. Each basket, each bracelet, each painting carries this mark. Because they are so beautiful, they teach us that beauty, carefully woven by hand, is an agent that shapes and transforms society. If they are made today, it is because their knowledge continues to re-exist.
We, at Tucum, have decided to stand by them. To make their struggles our own, to reduce the gap between the wealth and power of the native peoples of this country and the way they are seen and recognized by society, still steeped in stereotypes and prejudices that perpetuate the historical oppression against their bodies and territories. Those who wear their art feel the strength they carry.
The future is now! To stay alive, we need the forest standing, and for that, its guardians need to stand with it. We continue to fight for the way of life of indigenous peoples to be respected, and for their rights and territories to be assured.
Tucum invites you to be part of this manifesto and to be an ally in the valorization of indigenous cultures, their arts and their struggle.

Natura products are developed to create a sense of pleasure and well-being. They awaken the senses and improve people's relationship with themselves, with their bodies, with others, and with the world.
We produce several different types of products: bath, body, face, hair, perfumes, and we use plant based ingredients derived from Brazilian biodiversity, harvested in partnership with local communities. Thanks to its commitment to sustainable development since its inception and its goal of generating a positive environmental, social and economic impact by 2020, Natura has also become the largest B Corp certified company in the world and the first publicly traded company to receive this certification in December 2014. Since June 2017, Natura&Co has also owned The Body Shop (which was previously owned by L'Oréal).
Natura believes that innovation is one of the cornerstones of sustainable development. The company spent 50 million euros on this in 2016 and launched 255 products, achieving an innovation index (percentage of revenue from products launched in the last two years) of 54.3%.
