Welcome to the first page of the Varal Blog.

My name is Georgia Rodrigues and I am the founder of Varal. I started this project in 2019 with the dream of showing the world high quality products Made in Brazil.

I still have a lot to achieve and my dream is to make my brand a representation of Brazilian fashion in Europe.

But, first of all I wanted to introduce you to this Blog. This is another idea in the drawer as a way to give voice to the many Brazilians who leave our country with the intention of conquering the world.

It will actually be divided into series. The first is The presentations! Every week, where we will introduce you to the Brazilians who invest, like me, in the Italian market, or who have relevant actions/voices.

We will tell you about fashion, culture, business, politics, information and everything that can be relevant within this communication channel.

I have just turned 40 and I live in Florence. I have a law degree and have been a Retail Manager for an American fashion brand for 8 years.

I was sure that I didn’t want to be a lawyer when I arrived in Italy 15 years ago.

I have always been passionate about the world of fashion and so I began my career in stores, until the moment came when I felt inside me that I had to create something of my own.

It takes courage. Being a woman, being alone, and not having an economic heritage behind me. As they often say in Brazil: “È na raça!” (it is with the race!) that we move forward and I hope to, more and more, make this platform called Varal known, which rightly has a symbolic name: Stendino! Where we put everything we wear!
